Our Mission

Gaining a Democratic majority in the US House of Representatives in 2006 is of utmost importance to us at SoapBox4Truth.org and our organization is working towards that effort. Along with this important issue, we are supporters of John Conyers, and seek for him to become the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. When Rep. Conyers is Chair, we will continue to support his efforts to bring truth, justice and accountability to this administration through his subpoena power and legislation to form an investigative sub-committee.

We are not alone in our efforts to realize the importance of a Democratic majority in the House. This article by Kevin Spidel titled A Progressive Priority: TAKE BACK THE U.S. HOUSE shows that others are beginning to realize the gravity of the situation. Whereas Bush and the Republicans have control of the White House, both houses of Congress, the Supreme Court, and many of the inferior courts, a complete lack of accountability for any number of constitutional transgressions have occurred. All of which is going on behind a shroud of secrecy to sweep the evidence of wrongdoing under a rug.

The only solution to restoring responsible accountable government, civil liberties, justice, and credibility among nations is to remove the Republicans from office. They will not resign and the 109th Congress refuses to hold Bush accountable. The only other peaceful legal means is through the impeachment process given by the Constitution. If impeachment of administration officials does not occur, these officials can be eligible again for public office. Impeachment is a political tool and a process, (the only process by the way), written into the constitution to protect the people from a usurping Executive.

There are many grassroots organizations out there, but many lack a cohesive message. We aim to tie their problem to our solution. They must understand the focus. They must understand how all of our actions together must strive for the common good. They must understand that we will win if we join together on all fronts. Because we understand, for every grassroots group with a special interest, their solution must be impeachment. This will multiply and strengthen everyone's efforts.

As a website headquarters or just conference/meeting room, SoapBox4Truth.org is a valuable resource to any progressive organization. In a world of where big brother monitors phone conversations and email, every internal page secure from web bots. Features include a bulletin board type Forum, internal eMail, and Chat to conduct virtual meetings and generate minutes. Our resource menu is Top Notch and if you find a resource or media contact we do not have listed: just add it. To support this effort, we have a web development committee and dedicated professional programmer.

SoapBox4Truth.org is currently working on several projects to ensure a Democratic House majority in 2006. First, we seek to identify the various positions of the different candidates and then support the progressive Democrat: i.e. separate the Lamont's from the Lieberman's so to speak. We also seek to identify the various positions of the Republican candidates: i.e. separate the Gerlach's from the Jones's. To support this total effort, we have formed an Election 2006 committee.

Secondly, we are engaged in a truth campaign to counter spin the lies and half truths presented to us daily in the news media. We are educating and informing as many citizens as possible in the most cost-effective and efficient means available. We are not limiting our audience to the on-line community, but also targeting those who only receive their news through the television, radio, and newspaper. To accomplish this daunting task, we are writing unions and groups, writing letters to the editor of newspapers, and running an on-line news and editorial section. To support in this effort, we have a public relations committee and a professional editor.

Next, we are fighting voter disenfranchisement and election fraud. This is a huge and complicated task. To support this effort, we have formed an election fraud committee.

Finally, we are inviting other progressive groups to join us and together multiply our voices for this one common goal. It is the only way that progressive groups will see any debate or legislation on the issues they believe in and hold dear.
